How we collect, use, protect, and share personal data when you use Deutsche Machcha.
Last updated: 20 September 2026
Deutsche Machcha uses a limited amount of personal information to run accounts, answer questions, arrange classes, and keep the service secure. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, who may help us process it, and the choices available to you.
About Deutsche Machcha

- Enquiry data: your name, email address, phone number, education stage, current German level, preferred consultation date, message, and contact consent.
- Learning and scheduling data: course interest, class or consultation bookings, session dates, meeting information, and communications relating to your classes.
- Communications: emails and messages you send to us, together with records of transactional emails such as booking confirmations and password resets.
- Technical and security data: essential session-cookie information and server or security logs that may include an IP address, browser or device information, request time, and pages requested.
Please do not send passports, identity documents, financial information, health information, or other sensitive material unless we have specifically asked for it through an appropriate secure channel.
How your information helps us serve you
We use personal data to create and secure accounts; respond to enquiries; recommend an appropriate starting level; schedule and deliver classes or consultations; send service, booking, and account emails; manage courses and learner support; prevent misuse; maintain security; comply with legal obligations; and improve the reliability of the service.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for third-party behavioural advertising.
When we rely on your permission
We process personal data for specific lawful purposes connected with a request you make, a service you use, consent you provide, steps taken before enrolment, performance of an agreed educational service, security, or a legal obligation. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal or information we must retain by law.
The essential cookie that keeps you signed in
The site uses an essential, secure, HTTP-only session cookie when you sign in. It keeps you authenticated and helps protect your account. The cookie is not used for advertising. We do not currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. If that changes, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated.
Services that help us run classes
We use carefully selected providers to operate the service. They may process limited personal data on our behalf or under their own terms. These providers may include website and database hosting, Resend for transactional email, authentication providers, and meeting or scheduling services such as Jitsi Meet, Google Meet, or another provider identified when a session is scheduled.
When you follow a link to or use an external platform, that provider's privacy terms also apply. A meeting provider may receive your display name, email address, IP address, device information, and meeting participation data depending on how the meeting is configured.
Who can see your information
We may share personal data with teachers and authorised administrators who need it to provide the service; contracted technology providers; professional advisers where reasonably necessary; authorities when required by law; or a successor if the education business is reorganised or transferred. We require access to be limited to a legitimate purpose and do not permit service providers to use the data for their own advertising.
Where your information may be processed
Our hosting and service providers may process data in India, Germany, the European Union, the United States, or another country in which they operate. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and protect data during such processing, subject to applicable law.
How long we keep information
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including delivery of classes, account administration, security, dispute resolution, and legal or accounting obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are periodically reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer required. Account, booking, email-delivery, audit, and transaction-related records may be kept longer where needed for security or legal compliance.
Extra care for learners under 18
Deutsche Machcha serves school students as well as adults. If a learner is under 18, a parent or lawful guardian should make or approve the enquiry, enrolment, payment, and account use. We may ask for information needed to verify parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly use children's data for targeted advertising or tracking. A parent or guardian may contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of a child's data, subject to lawful retention requirements.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including hashed passwords, secure session cookies, access controls, encrypted web connections, and restricted administration. No online system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and should tell us promptly if you believe your account has been misused.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold your personal data; provide access to it; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; erase data that is no longer required; withdraw contact consent; or address a grievance. You may also ask us to close your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting and may retain limited information where the law or a legitimate security need requires it.
